I talked to my dad all that afternoon, reassuring him that everything will turn out great. It was after a few hours that the hospital released me. He said: “It was just lack of food and shock that triggered this, no need to worry.” Me and my dad walked out of the hospital enterance, when I realized we had no car. “Dad?” I asked. He looked at me with new eyes. “Yes?” I looked toward the parking lot. ” Where are we going?” His eyes narrowed. “To our new home.”
This so what called “Our New Home” wasn’t as far as I expected. It was maybe, a 20 minute walk? My dad led me into a very old apartment building. I bit my lip from saying anything, but my dad could easily read my expression. For he said: “Its safe. Its the only thing I could afford.” He led me up the stairsto room “106.” Daddy opened the door with a pair of keys he toke out of his jacket pocket. He gestured for me to enter. I toke a hesitant step inside, everything looked different. The room was empty, the windows with blinds that were broken, a siginal bed laid to the far right cornor. At the end of the room was a door, that led to the bathroom, I assumed. To the left of the door was the enterance tot he kitchen. I then realized my dad was studying my face. He could tell I would have a hard time to adjust. “Dad?” I asked. Dad closed the door and locked it. With his back turned to me, he said: ” I know its not much, but I promise it’ll get better.” Dad walked into the kitchen without looking back. Daddy, I’ll help you get through this, I promised.

I stood outside of Audrey’s house, looking at the notice that was posted on the front door. It couldn’t be…. they lost their house? She would have told me. I pondered. I toke out my cellphone and called Audrey, to find only an automated voice to answer. Frustrated, I hanged up and opened the door. I walked into the living room. It was empty, every piece of furniture that was there beared no existence no more. I quietly went up the stairs and went into Audrey’s room, nothing was there. Her clothes, shoes, hatsm and pictures sat there untouched. Remembering where everything was, I toke her suitcase and toke every article of clothing I could place in there. When the bag was full, I zipped it up. I looked once more in her closet to make sure I didn’t forget anything and I found a little white envelope on the floor. It was already opened, all the content showing. I scanned throught it. After finishing, I realized it was court papers, it was for Will.
I walked across the street, to the neighbors house. I knocked lightly, and seconds later the door opened. I smiled. “Hi, I’m Ally Carter. I worked across the street, at Mr. Reed’s house.” He nodded. “Have you seen a moving truck or anything there lately?” He put his right hand on his face, as to think. “If I’m correct I saw a Repo truck, a Brother&Brother one.” I smiled, this time showing my teeth. “Thanks sir!” He closed the door, and went on my way to find Audrey and Mr. Reed.
I looked through the phone book for “Brother&Brother Repo Company.” I quickly dialed the number, and a young lady answered the number. “Hello, I’m Pam. How can I help you?” I shifted my leg to see Audrey’s address. “Hi, I have to deliever a package to Mr. Reed, and he gave me the wrong address, there’s a notice on the door of a recent foreclosure.” I toke a breath. “Do you have any idea where he is? Like his new address?” Something tapped on the phone. “Yes, ma’am. Hold on.” I was put on hold, then after about five minutes, the music stopped. “Ok, got a pen?” I said a quick ‘Yes’ and she gave me a new address. I muttered a “thanks” and hanged up.

I was getting ready to sleep, when I heard a quick knock on the door. My dad was in the shower, so I hopped out of bed to answer the door. I looked through the peephole and saw a familar face. I unlocked the door, “Ally? What are you doing here?” She smiled. “Long story. I went by your home and got some stuff for you.” She held up my suitcase and my eyes started to tear up. “You shouldn’t have!” I gestured for her to come in. I closed the door behind me. She didn’t care at all at the room in front of her, she walked in normally, as if she has seen this all the time. She sat on my bed. She looked at me. “Audrey, we got to talk.”
